What Peptide R Lab is
Peptide R Lab is an independent editorial notebook covering the published research on four compounds studied in the recovery-and-tissue-repair space: BPC-157, KLOW, KPV, and TB-500, with TB-500 leading the notebook because its parent molecule carries the deepest human trial record of the four. The site exists to make a scattered, often overstated literature legible, to say plainly what each compound was actually studied for, in which species, and how far that evidence honestly reaches, before any anecdotal community reporting is layered on top.
The organizing frame is a lab notebook, not a product catalog: each entry is read in the same clinical order, what it is, how it is proposed to work, what the primary literature shows, what people report anecdotally, and what cautions the cited evidence actually supports. Reading the four together surfaces a pattern worth seeing clearly: three genuinely different repair mechanisms (angiogenesis, cell migration, anti-inflammatory signaling), one blend that packages three of them together without ever being tested as a blend, and a human evidence base that ranges, compound by compound, from thin to entirely absent.
How it is compiled
Two principles govern this notebook. First, every research claim is anchored to a numbered source on the references page, PubMed-indexed studies, a structural biology paper, and the field's one completed human Phase 1 trial, cited by bracketed number throughout. Where a finding comes from a review rather than a primary study, or where a finding used the full-length parent protein rather than the marketed fragment (TB-500's central caveat), that distinction is stated directly rather than smoothed over.
Second, the evidence is described at its actual strength, not its marketed strength. A two-person safety pilot is reported as a two-person safety pilot [1], not as proof of a therapeutic effect. A mouse colitis result is reported as a mouse colitis result [9], not as evidence for a human gut-health claim. Community-reported effects are kept in clearly labeled anecdotal paragraphs, separate from anything a controlled study actually measured, and never attached to a specific recommended dose.

None of the four compounds covered here, BPC-157, KLOW, KPV, or TB-500, is an FDA-approved medicine.
